I always wonder, what do people think about when they on a moving vehicle alone.
Be it in a train, driving home alone or simply as the passenger heading to your next stop.
More often than not, I tend to wander my thoughts around and think about things that don't usually cross my mind.
When you're living in a city, sometimes it's pretty difficult to just sit down and think. We're forever rushing here and there. Rushing to meet your friends, rushing to your next class. But how frequent do we just sit back and think?
My recent moral education class got me thinking while i was sitting in the back of a car.
According to the Principle of Existentialism ( by Jean-Paul Sartre ),
A man is free to do whatever he/she wants to. As long it doesn't harm the society and does not cross the "law border" of course.
Most of the students had agreed on that. But to my amazement, I was surprise to find out that most of them do not agree on homosexual.
I was confused as wouldn't it contradict to what they have agreed previously?
If one is allowed to do whatever he or she wants, why can't they date whoever they wish to?
I find this extremely disturbing as I was stunned by the fact the majority of the students does not have an open mind on this.
And this is the new generation we're talking about.
If the moral value that is trying to imply to us is that we're supposed to have an open mind, why can't the same thing be applied to homosexual? Why should we discriminate homosexual?
What are the major difference between them and us except for the fact they have the guts to stand up and tell the world they prefer to date someone of the same sex?
It's a bolt in the blue for me when our lecturer told me that homosexual actually can't find a job because no one would hire them and they would have to work at night!
Because of what?
Because we, the today's society, decided that homosexual is so abnormal from us that we have to discriminate them!
But lets not forget the moral value that were discussed earlier.
We, man is free to do whatever we want as long as IT DOES NO HARM TO OTHER PEOPLE.
So let see, does being a homosexual harm us in any direct way?
One of my friends argued with me and said that, "yes, of course! Because it influences the society! "
But in what way, does being a homosexual influences the society?
They do not walk around in streets and promote it.
They are just simply being themselves.
If you are concern that because being a homosexual might be in high chance of getting AIDS, but why aren't you concern the rate of the babies are dumped every year?
Those people do not practice safe sex as well!
Does that mean the issue that babies are being dumped everywhere ( public toilet, rubbish dump) is less concerning than AIDS?
And then there's those who said it's against the mother nature!
But who set the rules about being homosexual is wrong?
Years ago, in some country like china, practising cohabitation deserves a death penalty.
Back then, doing that was so called against the mother nature.
But in today's world, we see couples moving in every so often.
But why don't we discriminate them?
Why do those people still deserve a job and not work at night?
It's true that homosexual can't produce an infant. But what do we do when the so called normal people is infertile?
They adopt!
So why can't homosexual adopts if they want to?
Why do we have to be the one to discriminate them because they are slightly different from the rest of the world?
Isn't this why human beings are special?
We tend to have the ability the adapt to changes and be versatile.
Isn't each individual supposed to be different?
Why do we, human beings discriminate human beings?
How do we define a normal people and an abnormal one?
Why can't yin be with yin and yang be with yang?

Melbourne Trip 2
All ABOUT FOOD.
I always think that Malaysia is one of the "IT" place in the world when it comes to food.
But I've changed my mind about that after my trips to Melb.
You want Vietnam Food?
They have Mekong ( I didn't get to try tho =( ), which is a supposedly famous restaurant.
So nice even Bill Clinton had two bowls of rice there.
You want Thai?
You want Chinese?
You want Japanese?
You want Malaysian?
They have it all.
It's much more authentic compare to Malaysia because for eg. our Japanese sushi is made by well..Malaysian.
Whereas the sushi there is truly made by Japanese.
The same applies to others.
Fruits and vegetables.
Yellow Kiwi.
This thing is so freaking sweet and refreshing. Yes, it's sweet compare to our green kiwi which is sour.
I had sooooo many of these when I was there.
The oh-so-huge watermelon.
Don't let the picture fool you. Those watermelons are HUMONGOUS.
Check 'em out!
Oranges.
I don't know why they look so tiny in the pictures. They are much bigger when I see them.
The biggest cabbage I've ever seen.
Err...I don't what you call this. Oops. But they are pink! The ones here are usually yellow.
Mangoes.
They look cute and small don't they?
The never ending celery.
I didn't know avocado is so yummy.
Seafood.
Let me introduce you to a new kind of seafood.
You might be wondering... What are these?
They have lobster's colour..but they look like crabs... Hmmm...
They are.....
Spanner!
Well..at least that's what they call them.
They are apparently a combination of lobster + crab.
Live abalone.
Dead Lobster.
The real deal.
When we were in Sydney, we can't help but try out this Japanese restaurant.
Whenever we pass by it, the queue outside the restaurant is just amusing.
Then only we know why.
The seafood udon that I had.
It's so freaking tasty okay.
The seafood ( crab, prawn, clams.....) is sooo fresh.
Thus it explains the sweet seafood soup.
Ze sake.
I wasn't kidding when I said it's crowded.
Last but not least..
Green tea ice cream
Coffee.
Australia has a very extensive history of drinking coffee.
In Malaysia, Gloria Jean's is not so popular compare to Starsucks..I mean Starbucks.
However, in Aussie, is the other way round.
Ze flat white's foam that resembles a love shape.
From a cafe in The Strand, Sydney.
Ze cappuccino.
Till next time!
ps: This post is making me hungry wtf.
