Yeap...it's such a last minute decision.
How last minute?
We booked it yesterday.
That is so my dad. We've been pestering him to book since last year but only yesterday he finally decided to book.
So now I'll be going to the beautiful and serene bali. A place that I've been dying to go.
Anyways, it's short trip so I'll be back very soon.
In the meantime, keep yourself entertain by watching these lame videos we did last week while we were in the car.
The videos quality are pretty bad because they were captured using my phone.
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!
Now, where's my ang pau?

Ready Yet?
When you're in this retail line, you often get to meet the strangest and most fascinating people.
I think that is one of the perks and worst part of the job.
You'll often come across people so bizarre that often makes you go tongue tied.
Thus, it was no surprise when where I work has gays and transsexuals and etc etc.
The people you work with definitely make you see the world with a brand new pair of eyes.
Not until recently though, I realised how I was living in my little comfort zone.
There's a new guy who joined us just a couple of days ago.
The signs of it were clear:
The scarf...The folding hands across the chest.. The way he moves and stands...
So it was no surprise when he was talking about his boyfriends to us.
And how cute is that customer who just walked in with his girlfriend or that passerby in front of the store.
I didn't had much thoughts about it until when a normal routine done by my co-workers suddenly alarmed me.
He was just doing what everyone did.
Changing his clothes from the uniform in the storeroom.
Everyone does that and I was pretty used to it since my co-workers were mostly female.
And then it hit me how uncomfortable it made me felt when he seemed so at ease with what he was doing.
The funny thing was, it was only me.
Everyone was walking in and out while he was changing out of his pants.
Not only that, nor did the gals kicked him out when they had to change like what they would have done to the other male co-workers. They took off their shirts just like that. Sometimes even changing together.
I tried not to look and often felt silly of how conservative I really am.
I have always been very open to this kind of thing, well at least I thought I did.
However, I know this, like all other strange things, is something you will eventually grow accustomed with since I'm no longer flinching when he was screaming when some cute guy came in for interview or when we discuss about the hot guy that is working nearby.
Something happened the other day that made me laughed quite a bit.
When the cd was playing the track "If I Were A Boy" by Beyonce, he will often say that it was his song. Because it reminded him of the break up between he and his ex.
And he would continue by singing in his high pitch voice loudly along with it. ( I often have to remind him to tone down so that he won't scare the customers away)
Then one day he was telling one of the female workers there that it is his song when the female laughed and said:" But you are a boy!"
Which he replied with : " Oh no no...I like to change it to If I Were A Girl."
And continued singing the song while weeping a little bit. Oh yes, he also mentioned that the song makes him emotional.
LOL.
I don't know why when I typed it out it doesn't sound funny but during that time it was really hilarious. Seriously.
Anyways, I'm amazed by how open they are nowadays.
We were on the topics of guys one day when he casually said that when he's interesting in a guy, he'll just walk up to him and say :" Hi, are you a gay boy, because I'm interested in you."
I was stunned by how brave he is. Maybe he's not so gay after all.
How many girls would actually have that courage anyways.
I was curious that how it had worked out for him. To my utter amazement, none of the guys felt offended when he popped that question. If they are straight, they merely answered that they are not gay.
But he did get a handful of phone numbers. In fact, that's how he got to know his current boyfriend.
I was very impressed by that actually. Of how the society had taken it all so...easily.
Me, myself is getting pretty comfortable as I viewed the pictures of him and his boyfriend from his phone.
Some of it was kissing pictures, some both half-naked and some was just plain camwhoring.
I'm jealous of his courage. I wish I have some too.
Another thing about in the retail line is working painfully long hours during odd hours!!!
Grr...
ps: I'll stop working before cny! =)

Birthday+Chritsmas+New Year Celebrations
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
Okay..I know I'm like 10 days late to wish you all and I know I've been abandoning my blog for ages but I've been working my ass off every effing day ever since new year.
=(
oh...and MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! Nah..I'm not late to wish you all I'm just about a year too early. =P
I'll leave all the celebrations with pictures tho I don't have much for my birthday and Christmas because yap yi ling is too lazy to send me the pictures.
So after work on the 23th, we went Old Town to count down my birthday and overnight at my house.
No pictures on that because it was all with Yap Yi Ling..
But they bought me cupcakes and some alcohol la.. And was supposed to surprise me with lighted candles in the cupcakes when I went to toilet but then they couldn't find the lighter.
T__T
I'll skip all the way to lunch on my birthday which paul and an unexpected kor kor which rushed all the way downtown after his exams to meet me.
=)
Ling's half-eaten wan tan mee.
Unfortunately, we were all extremely grumpy because we hadn't had breakfast and they were all LATE. And to be polite we waited like an hour for them.
Ish..
And then we were shopping..bla bla bla.. had some complications with the hotel room bookings but they upgraded the room for us.
Then after that went countdown..
When we got back to the room, we were exhausted.
But still..we always have energy when it comes to camwhoring.
The room after the night.
We went to Ikea out of a spontaneous idea, ignoring the reluctant driver -ling.
You see, we have no idea how to drive there, but we were determine anyways.
So it was like going on a road trip, after much help from laine and her friend, and some wrong turns along the way, we finally managed to get there. But spent ages looking for a car park.
And ran down right after the car was park on an illegal car park space because we all had to pee desperately.
After a couple of hours of shopping there, all we bought was scented candles.
LOL.
It was a tough choice of which scent to buy, but I finally settled on vanilla.

We got home eventually but probably through the long way as we passed by batu caves.
O_O

New Year
In Joc's garden while waiting to pick her up.
While I was in the hotel room, I realised I LOST MY IC.
Well..at least I thought I did.
I was so panicked that I jumped to conclusion that I lost it.
But then I realised I left it in Parkson when I was replacing someone's shift for the day and I forgot to take back my IC because I was too eager to get home.
Geez..What a great way to start off the year...
During dinner, in Dragon-i.

In Long Bar...

Masquerade.
The vodka we ordered. We had it with lemon slices and ice.
Caught me playing with the party packs.

That wasn't my finger btw.

We left Long Bar at approximately 10 mins till new year.
So as you might have guessed we spent our new year in the car!
Lol.. we were stuck in the jam when the clock strikes 12 and when we heard the fireworks we just kept honking.
Then venn, the driver park at the side along with many other cars to witness the beautiful fireworks as a start of a brand new year.

Goodbye 2008. You suck!
Everyone hated 2008.
Then we went back to Sunway and surprising got in Euphoria for free. All wasn't part of the plan at all.
When we got back to the hotel, we played cards and drank delicious blueberry Kampai.
I barely had any sleep since the boys all played poker the whole night until 8am or so.
I probably slept like half an hour and woke up all sticky and sweaty because it was so hot.
All in all, I had a blast for the last week of 2008.
I'm still working in my current job. It was getting tougher and I felt more like an underpaid labour more and more each day.
Btw, alot of you had been asking when am I leaving, and I shall announce here once and for all that I'll be leaving on the 13th of february.
Till next time!
